Girls Who Start is a 501(c)3 non-profit international organization that works to combat gender inequalities in the business world by inspiring middle school, high school, and college girls to become entrepreneurs and leaders.

To accomplish our mission, we create speaker events with female entrepreneurs and leaders, we host workshops and hackathons to help girls develop leadership skills, and we create an international community of girls interested in entrepreneurship and leadership. Additionally, we host annual summits with female leaders, we run a scholarship program to provide underrepresented girls with access to social entrepreneurship and college counseling courses, and we run the Girls Who Start Weekly Publication to expose girls to female leaders and current news about female leadership.

To get involved, you can apply to start your own Girls Who Start chapter at your middle school, high school, or college, you can attend our national events, apply to our scholarship program, or sign up to be a primary writer or one time writer for the Girls Who Start Weekly Publication.

As a Girls Who Start chapter president, you have the ability to lead your school's chapter however you see fit, with the requirement of hosting 3 events each school year. Chapter presidents gain access to all Girls Who Start events and programs. The benefits of being a Girls Who Start chapter president include:
1. connect with girls across the world interested in entrepreneurship and leadership
2. hear from inspiring female entrepreneurs and leaders
3. develop leadership skills by creating events at your school, impacting your school community, and interacting with your school administration
4. learn how to reach out to leaders in the business community and how to market events
5. gain access to social entrepreneurship, college counseling, and career development courses
6. opportunity to apply for a national position
